                  Rider Balance

                  Picture
Many times equestrians have imbalances that effect their horse when they ride.  For example, if the rider has a fixated and/or rotated pelvis, this will throw off the horse's normal gait.  Most riders also usually place more weight on one stirrup than the other, which will cause the horse to compensate for the imbalance and this may lead to an altered gait in the horse.  Over time, the horse may experience pain, discomfort or joint fixations due to this compensation.

If the rider is unbalanced, the horse will inevitably become unbalanced as well.  Dr. Barbara can work with the rider, as well as the horse, in order to correct these imbalances.  These imbalances are corrected through chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work and stabilization exercises.  Balancing the rider along with the horse can produce amazing results!
